3. How do I register conference information?

  • If published in conference proceedings
    Use Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingConference contribution.
    • Include ISBN/ISSN, if available
       

                  

 

  • If not published in proceedings (a poster)
    Register as Activity: ActivityParticipating in or organising an eventOrganisation of / participating in conferences, workshops, courses, seminars.

 

                  

 

4. How do I register faculty mobility (outgoing and incoming visits)?

  • Faculty mobility must be registered, even ifor one-day visits.
  • Always add start and end date of a visit.
  • Note: Conferences are not considered faculty mobility.
  • Use these templates:
    • Outgoing faculty mobility: Visiting an external institutionVisit to other institution.
    • Incoming faculty mobility: Hosting a visitorHosted academic visit at Hanken.

5. How to delete or copy a record in Haris?

  • Delete: Click the red cross (bottom right). No undo available.
  • Copy: Click the two-blank-document icon to duplicate and edit.

 

    

 

6. How is my publication approved?

  • Status options:
    • Entry in Progress: Saved but not sent for approval. You must add additional information and send for approval. 
    • For approval: Sent to the library for validation.
      Status is shown at the bottom of the template.

       
  • To change to For approval, publication status must be Published with year filled in.
  • After approval:
    • You can edit → status becomes For re-validation. The record goes back to the workflow to be re-approved by the library.

 

7. Can I register datasets?

  • Yes. Use the Dataset template.

         

  • For publications with datasets:
    • Create two records (publication and dataset templates).
    • Link them under Relations to other content in the template.
  • Add link or DOI for data access (files cannot be uploaded).
